SWAY and SportsWare

To utilize the SportsWare and SWAY integration, you will need to have the Concussion Toolbox Add-on. If you do not have the Concussion Toolbox please contact a sales rep at sales@csmisolutions.com or call 781-297-2034.

Setting Up Integration:

       1. Head over the Sway Medical’s Integrations page and click Request Integration button
  1. Complete the Integration Request form as prompted - choose SportsWare then click SUBMIT
  2. A member from the Sway Customer Experience Team will reach out via email to send terms and conditions via Adobe for your organization to sign (These terms and conditions are to ensure that you and your organization are agreeing to send Sway health data to SportsWare)
  3. Once you have returned the signed copy of the terms via Adobe, we will be notified.
  4. Locate your Institution Identifier within Admin>Institution 
  5. Once we have your SportsWare ID number and signed terms, you will receive an email from Sway Medical stating that your integration is complete!

What to Expect:

  1. Every time your athlete takes a test on Sway and completes it, a PDF report of the current test will be sent over to the Attachments tab in an injury record in the injury database
  2. SWAY and SportsWare will match test to athlete records using Full Name and DOB
  3. Expect the document to be transferred within 3-8 minutes
  4. SWAY will send over records going back 2 years.


How to View a SWAY record in SportsWare:

1. Navigate to the Injury Database
2. Select the Athlete name in the drop down menu and look for the record with SWAY in the body area
3. Select the injury record, click edit.
4. Click Attachments, select the pdf and click open to view. 

Troubleshooting:

Multiple Athletes Found:

Issue:

      Duplicate athletes with identical names and dates of birth exist in SportsWareOnLine.

Solution:

      You will need to manually upload to the correct name

Failed to match athlete by Institution/Name/DOB:

Issue:

1.    Institution Identifier might be incorrect.

2.    Name and date of birth in both systems don't match exactly.

Solution:

3.    Double-check the correctness of the Institution Identifier.

4.    Ensure the spelling of the name and date of birth matches precisely in both systems. Check for nicknames or shortened names (Mike/Michael, Robert/Bob) the system will not recognize the athlete unless it is an exact match
