Setting Up Gender Identity Field

Changes as of January 2023.

Gender field has been renamed to Birth Sex. Additional field called Gender Identity added.

Navigate to the Athlete General page by double clicking on any athlete from the Athlete Listing Grid page to see the changes notes in the above screenshots.

The former Gender field is renamed to Birth Sex.
An additional field is added for Gender Identity.

This new field has a corresponding Picklist to edit the values in the Multi Level picklist editor. Please fill in your choice of options to utilize the new Gender Identity field.
  1. From the Dashboard, Click Picklists > Multi Level
  2. Scroll down to see GenderIdentity.
  3. Click Select to view the Level 1 options for editing.
  4. Utilize the Add/Delete buttons to make changes as needed.
Default options as suggested by the USCDI are as follows:
  1. Male
  2. Female
  3. Female-to-Male
  4. Male-to-Female
  5. Genderqueer
  6. Other
  7. Choose not to disclose
